The first company of the group, Padma Cap Mfg Co. Ltd. was
established in 1987 at Barisal. Initially the Group
started with the manufacture of Aluminium Pilfer Prof
Cap (PP Cap) for pharmaceutical, food and beverage
industries. |

Next year, it diversified its range of products by
manufacturing ampoules, vials & vial seals, with the
setting up of second project, Padma Glass Ltd., also at
Barisal. |

| 1993 |
|
Under
the diversification programme, Padma Cans & Closures
Limited was established in 1993 at Savar, Dhaka, for manufacturing Aluminium Collapsible
Tubes. |

| 1998 |
|
The
group commenced operation in making Multi-layer Plastic
Laminated Tubes in Padma Cans & Closures Ltd. At the
end of the year, a high-tech sophisticated laminated
printing machine was installed in Savar Factory. This
was the first of its kind in Bangladesh. |

Besides,
we are using the facilities of this versatile machine
for printing of Self-Adhesive Labels in reel forms for
labelling with Auto Applicator Machine. |

| 1999

|
A new
set-up was also completed at our Savar Factory for the
manufacture of Crown Caps, which are used as closures
for soft drink bottles. Padma Cans & Closures Ltd.
can boast of being the only manufacturer of Crown Caps
in Bangladesh. |

| 2000 |
|
In the
begining of the new millennium, PADMA has come up with
another of its project at Savar Factory for making different
types and shapes of metal cans with or without printing. |

| 2001 |
|
In this
year Padma Cans & Closures Limited have been awarded
ISO 9002 certificate
for its 'Total Quality Management System'. |
 |

| 2003 |
|
In this
year Padma Cap Mfg. Co. Ltd. and Padma Glass Limited have been awarded
ISO 9001:2000 certificate
for its 'Total Quality Management System'. |
